Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is a special kind of radar which generates high resolution images (comparable to optical sensors) in all weather conditions at both night and daytime. SAR systems utilize sophisticated signal processing and image generation algorithms and have very complicated radar electronics and processing units. Requirements specification, design and testing of such systems are very complicated and costly.

SDT is one of the partners of Synthetic Aperture Radar Development Project in Turkey and main responsibilities are development of real-time SAR signal processing algorithms and software and end-to-end simulation of SAR system. SDT has developed SARSim, a powerful end-to-end simulation tool which can be used for engineering purposes (at requirements, design and verification phases), mission planning and also as a training tool. SDT is ready to make customizations and develop/implement any additional modes and image formation algorithms in order to meet specific requirements of the Customer.

  • SARSim provides mechanisms for testing several system parameters virtually in any environment and conditions.
