SDT participated to IDEF 2009 Istanbul conducted between April 21-24, 2009. There were 463 companies from 67 countries in this exhibition, of which 372 of them were foreign companies and 180 of them were national companies.

 

SDT products were also exhibited at SDT stand in IDEF 2009. SDT’s product range in IDEF were Digital Data Recorder System, Airborne Computer for Moving Map, Synthetic Aperture Radar Simulator, Image Analysis/Automatic Target Recognition Tool and 3D Visual Models. SDT’s products were complementary to each other by their capabilities, functionalities and variety.

 

SDT stand was visited by a wide range of Turkish and foreign company representatives as well as high level representatives of Undersecreteriat for Defence Industries (SSM) and Turkish Army Forces.

 

 

 

During the exhibition, R&D projects protocol signing ceremonies were performed.

 

Within the scope of SSM ‘s contract signature ceremonies during IDEF, Three (3) R&D projects protocols were signed on April 09th with the participants, including SDT, briefed as follows:

 

Within the scope of RF SAS R&D projects which were signed between SSM and Havelsan, Havelsan EHSIM and SDT cooperation, Radio Frequency Signal Analysis System (RF SAS) will be developed and special parameters belonging to jamming techniques will also be extracted from the RF signals by comparing with threat radar signals.

 

The protocol which was signed between SSM and Roketsan, Meteksan and SDT cooperation is aimed to develop a Ground Based “Guided Weapon (RF/IR) Guidance Simulator” to be made by national industry.

 

R&D protocol which is about IAATIS ( Image Analysis and Automatic Target Identification System) were also signed between SSM and Havelsan, ASELSAN, METU, SDT cooperation. The project scope covers the analysis of images and video which are obtained from satellite, reconnaissance aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicle and design of automatic target recognition based on these images by national industry.
